You & Me

The company's own profile states it plainly. Since its inception in 2013, You & Me Planet Information Technology LLC delivered hardware and software development, took on website development and turnkey computer-network projects, and built software from scratch so clients could run their businesses better. The cover of that profile carries the line the company printed for itself: together we create right-sized solutions. It worked from Office 605, Tamani Arts Tower, in Business Bay, Dubai.

By the time of its last corporate profile the offer had settled into ten service areas: smart home automation, IT supply, server solutions, networking, cloud storage, branding, digital marketing, web development, extra-low-voltage systems and annual maintenance contracts. The smart-home work was the most specific of them. Its printed promise was to convert an existing building into a smart home without damaging it, with video door bells, CCTV, curtains and blinds, lighting control, smart locks, robot vacuums and smart garages. Historical projects included villa conversions, CCTV installations and an enterprise IT-management deployment.

Work of that kind needs people who can specify a system and then install it. The organisation chart in the profile shows how the company was arranged: a director, a project manager and a manager for IT client services, then a system administrator, senior IT specialists, engineers, technicians, and the electricians and plumbers a fit-out requires. On the networking pages the work is set against the situations it was for, a branch opening, a data centre extended, a workspace refitted. The smart-home pages speak to the household instead: lights, curtains, cameras and locks on one phone. Support ran on site and remotely, under annual maintenance contracts.

Two Dubai companies have carried the name, You & Me Information Technology L.L.C and You & Me Planet Information Technology L.L.C, and the founder lists You & Me Information Technology Private Limited in India. Not every historical licence is necessarily current; the entities are listed here as part of the brand's history. The technology work continued under the Apaniot brand, whose corporate profile carries the same ten services forward and whose product catalogue went out under the You & Me identity before it was re-issued. The name itself stayed, and became the portfolio's own: You & Me Ventures.
